Vehicle Crime

Dear Residents,

We would like to make you aware that there has recently been an increase in thefts from motor vehicles in the local area, with a couple incidents reported over the past few days. These incidents have been in particular on Crondance Road, Irene Road and Delvino Road and surrounding areas. 

Please help protect your property by ensuring that no valuables or personal belongings are left visible inside your vehicles. Where possible, remove items from your car completely and store them securely inside your home. Even items of low value can attract opportunistic thieves if left on display. We are carrying out extra patrols in the area to identify and apprehend those responsible, and we are also working closely with our partner agencies to support these efforts and help prevent further offences.

We also ask residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity, including unfamiliar individuals loitering around parked vehicles or behaving unusually in the neighbourhood.

If you witness suspicious activity, please report it to police on 101. In an emergency, or if a crime is in progress, call 999 immediately.
